First lets look at my age, I come from the time of the Kennedy's and there leadership. "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country". I like most young people of the sixties took that to heart and have tried to live up to those words, and most of the people that I associate with try to help all. Most of us baby boomers are not looking for a government entitlement but rather a way to pay our way as we age. We are not entitled too anything only the things that we can build and control.
What President Kennedy represented was a different type of President one who was inspirational (imparting a divine influence on the mind and soul) in his vision and what he was asking from the American people or more importantly what he was asking from me as a person.
We have had many styles of politicians since Kennedy, a few were aware of the need for inspiration and did nothing, but most didn't have a clue.
President elect Obama brings this type of inspirational leadership back to the American experience. Inspiration is about feelings, being moved and most importantly being motivated into action. The essence of this is emotional intelligence which sad to say is lacking or unrecognized in most contemporary leaders. The best leaders have high levels of emotional intelligence - they know how to win people, get people on board, earn trust, respect and most importantly inspire loyalty.
President elect Obama brings excellent powers of oration
and a keen understanding of what we will call "social intelligence" rather than "emotional intelligence" used to describe the skill of understanding and managing other people
J. D. Mayer who defined social intelligence as the ability to monitor one's own and others' feelings and emotions, to discriminate among them and to use this information to guide one's public thinking and actions. Our new President is a master of this discipline. Challenging times require extraordinary leaders and we appear or maybe blessed to have found one, the right man at the right time.
Expectations are high and the possibility of disappointment looms but a man as gifted as President elect Obama will lead, he doesn't know how to do any less, where the question will we follow him and his administration through the troubled times to come. To quote President Kennedy on his inauguration speech "All this will not be finished in the first 100 days. Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days, nor in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin."

We all have worked hard for our possessions , our house, cars, trucks, boats, SUV, RVs, you get the idea, what do we need opposed to what we want. Would you trade any or all of those possessions for the life of the ones you love? Would you trade all of those things to keep your health? If you would trade then you are missing the whole point of life, time to reevaluate.
Touching on the George Bush administration I feel history will judge harshly his time in office. He lost his way and we must not take another minute of our time judging this man or even commenting on his disastrous administration, one wants to think he was at best simply inept.
I find myself wondering about greed and what that means. Wiki: Greed is the selfish desire for the pursuit of money, wealth, power, food, or other possessions, especially when this denies the same goods to others. It is generally considered a vice, and is one of the seven deadly sins in Catholicism I am not a Catholic but this definition has the ring of truth. Enough said you know who you are!
One thing I have learned is the universe always balances the books.
Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. Confucius
