NASCAR and Spring Soup

I thought I would take a minute and add to the Blog.

This is a soup for spring detoxifying. The race is on and Dale Jarrett (88) is having a bad time. New guy (Carl Edward's) is impressing me. O-NO dale got two speeders on pit road. Big wreck on lap 1 with red light.

Its finally getting warm and the first of the spring flowers have shown their little heads. Spring cant be far behind, although they just had 23 inches of snow north of us. Today is warm 39 F and sunny makes you want to get out in those fields. TOO EARLY - TOO EARLY listen to your self.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 head of lettuce (Romaine works well)
  • 4 cups vegetable stock
  • 2 Tablespoons rice
  • 2 Tablespoons butter

PREPARATION:

1. Shred the lettuce very finely.

2. Add the butter and the lettuce to a stock pot and cook for about 10 minutes.

3. Pour in the stock and rice and cook until the rice is very tender.

4. Eat this with toasted garlic bread that you have sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Serve with hot fresh brewed green tea not out of a bottle. This mix will detoxify your bodily systems and taste wonderful. For an extra taste treat squeeze a little fresh lime just before eating.

5. This will give you a mild case of the trots and you will pee and pee until poisons are out. (mild natural laxative and diuretic).
