Wonder

The headlines have just played and it makes me wonder about the world in which I live. Maybe I should say the wonder of dichotomy (dividing into two especially mutually exclusive or contradictory groups ). Martha Stewart is still being destroyed bit by bit. Americans from age 50 down are mostly over weight but poor nutrition; more formal education but less literate; spending hundreds of millions on drug prevention and trying to legalize pot; losing their freedoms daily but consider electing the same people who are doing this to them; decrying high energy prices but driving SUV and living in 4000 sq. ft house; unemployment low, people going on full disability at unprecedented numbers. Government growing at unheard of rate but having trouble passing federal budgets that fund salaries.

Election crap is starting and all ready I'm tired of ads, he said - they said mentality, and most of all personal attacks against each other. How could anyone get to be 40 or 50 years old and not have something they wish their neighbors didn't know? This propensity to crucify ( to treat cruelly) or maybe the word should be mortify (to destroy the strength, vitality, or functioning of ) high profile people is a strange exercise.
