Taylor Found Us-Fate?

Taylor, my Australian cattle dog (ACD) and frequent companion was an accident or maybe fate. Cindy and I were driving a gravel road along the Mackinaw river, no houses or farms within a couple of miles. In the distance I could see something come out onto the road and I started to slow. A small puppy was running down the center of the road and wouldn't go to the side even after I honked the horn. I stopped and the puppy ran under the truck and laid down to catch its breath. It would not come out and wasn"t going to move. Long story short, picked up put in the truck and drove to distant neighboring farms trying to identify pup no one could with the exception of old boy living on the river, toothless, beer belly, 4 wheeler, many children, pregnant wife and at least one daughter. Looked at the pup picked up by the scruff and said in the vernacular "you got a five hundreeed dollar dawg here". I thanked him and took my 500 dollar dog and headed back to Bloomington where my 500 dollar dog proceeded to upchuck all over the back seat of the truck. Got her home and promised to go back out to the area and try to find owner and Cindy would start hunting for good home, did i mention that Cindy has a fear of dogs that borders on pathological. Eventually found owner who denied ownership but had four other puppies that were the same age and breed. Went back to the house with the dog where I was informed after a few days "no dog" went back out to owners farm and put the puppy back. Drove home, depressed, and it started to snow. Cindy got home that night and asked after the dog, I told her what I had done at that point I was informed, in no uncertain terms, go get that dog in the morning. I did, in a awful snow storm about a 18 inches of snow and 40 mph winds where I skidded into a ditch and had to have local farmer pull my 4 wheeler out with his tractor, after many hours I found the farm and walked from the road to barn about one mile one way, as I walked into the barn a puppy came running up too me jumping into my arms and pee'd all over my coat and jeans, she never looked back. Thus the saga of Taylor
